We’re excited to share that Edible SF has new publishers! After 18 wonderful years under the creative vision of Bruce Cole, he has sold the magazine to new editor-in-chief and publisher Melody Saradpon and partner Tony Garnicki, previously behind Berber restaurant and supper club in Russian Hill. Longtime contributor Becky Duffett will be working with them to edit the first issue, and we’re launching with a summer issue this June, which is coming in hot.

The theme for the first issue is the “New Guard,” and in addition to introducing our new publishers, we’re focusing on what’s up and coming. Who are the new players on the dining scene this summer? Which hot new restaurant deserves a deeper story? Which cool new pop-up hasn’t been properly introduced? What neighborhood is blowing up and who’s the right local to give the inside tour?

Who’s doing the coolest cocktails, who always has intriguing wine recs, and what local shops are you obsessed with? What’s going on with events, arts, and culture? What fresh challenges are local food businesses facing right now? Is anyone integrating tech in compelling ways? We’re looking for features, profiles, trend stories, and roundups, which reflect the way our city eats, drinks, shops, and cooks.

Our deadline to gather pitches is by the end of the month, so please send story ideas to becky@ediblesf.com and melody@ediblesf.com by March 31. We’re so grateful for your ideas and creativity. Can’t wait to work with you.
